UPDATE: Gerry Connolly Cross County Trail Temporary Closure Postponed until Further Notice
Between Mile Markers 3.2 and 3.8 in Difficult Run Stream Valley Park
GREAT FALLS - The temporary closure of the Gerry Connolly Cross County Trail between mile markers 3.2 and 3.8 previously scheduled to begin on Monday, June 28 has been postponed until further notice. Revised schedule information will be sent out at a later date.
As a reminder, the Route 7 speed limit has been reduced to 45 miles per hour in active work zones between Reston Avenue and Jarrett Valley Drive.
Effective Jan. 1, 2021, it is illegal to hold a handheld personal communications device (e.g., your smartphone) while driving a moving motor vehicle on Virginia highways. Click here for more information, including details on the five exceptions to this law.
Please use caution and be alert to work zone signs, potential flagger or police direction, and watch for traffic shifts. Slow-moving vehicles and equipment may be entering or exiting the road.
