Overnight Ramp Closures on I-66 East and West at Multiple Interchanges Next Week for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project
Closures planned at Route 50, Route 234 Business (Sudley Road), and Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road)

FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours next week at several I-66 interchanges throughout the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project corridor. 

Details include:

Monday night, March 22, and Tuesday night, March 23
Ramp from Route 50 East to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night for lane striping. Traffic will be directed to continue farther east to the traffic signal at Waples Mill Road, stay to the left and make a U-turn from the left-most left turn lane, then follow signs to I-66 West.  

Sunday, March 21, through Thursday, March 25
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) North and South 
The ramp will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on multiple nights (specific nights TBD) for restriping. Traffic will be directed to continue farther west to the Route 29 (Lee Highway) North exit in Gainesville, stay to the left on the ramp and turn left at the traffic signal on to Route 29 South, stay to the right to I-66 East, then follow signs to Route 234 Business.

Wednesday night, March 24, and Thursday night, March 25
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) North and South
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night for paving and barrier shifting. Traffic will be directed to continue farther west to Route 50 East, stay left to reach I-66 East, then follow signs to Route 123.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
