Project Details
This is a Pave-in-Place project which provides paving within the 50-foot existing right of way. This 1.09 mile long project paves Route 653 from Route 675 to Route 654.
The road surface will be graded and widened, drainage will be improved and the road will receive a surface treatment pavement.
All work will be completed within the existing right-of way.

The Pave-in-Place Program is a practical approach to paving Virginia's low-volume roads. Its goal is to keep traditional rural lane ambience, while improving the road surface within the current right-of-way.
