What's Being Done?
This project will widen one mile of Route 114 (Peppers Ferry Road) at New River Valley Mall in Christiansburg from two to four lanes with turn lanes and improve access management by installing a raised median.
The project also will include relocating the signal at the mall entrance and building a new Huckleberry Trail bridge over Route 114.
Traffic Impacts
Beginning the week of May 20:
Flaggers may control traffic at times for utility operations on Route 114 (Peppers Ferry Road) near the New River Valley Mall. Trucks will be entering and exiting the road in this area. Occasional flagging operations will take place from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on weekdays.
Beginning Tuesday, May 28, nighttime lane closures will be in place on Peppers Ferry Road west of the railroad tracks near the New River Valley Mall from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Flaggers will control traffic.
