The project replaced the Stony Point Rd. (Rt. 620) structure over the Appomattox River on the Amelia/Cumberland county line.
According to 2012 traffic counts, the Route 620 bridge carries approximately 98 vehicles per day.
The bridge was closed for structure replacement beginning Feb. 23, 2015. The road has reopened.
