The purpose of this project is to improve the intersection of Prince George Drive (Route 156) and Laurel Springs Road (Route 616) by adding a turn lane on northbound Prince George Drive for Laurel Springs Road.

An entrance to middle school will also be relocated onto Laurel Springs as part of the project to help eliminate school traffic congestion on Prince George Drive.

Where is this project located?

It is at the intersection of Route 156 and Route 616 in Prince George County and the project length  is 0.24 mile.

Traffic impact

There will be lane closures and flaggers directing traffic during construction.  A minimum 11 foot travel lane will be maintained at all times during construction. The contractor will perform this work during the day to reduce neighborhood disturbances.
