Project at a Glance
TransAction2030, sponsored by the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority, is a regional transportation planning effort to update of the Northern Virginia 2020 Transportation Plan. In response to the growing problems with congestion throughout Northern Virginia, the 2020 Plan identified bus and rail transit, roadway, and non-motorized transportation needs. The 2020 Plan did not prioritize these recommended improvements, so the need for an ordered plan of action for the region was addressed with TransAction2030.
