About the Project
This shared-use path along the west side of Berlin Turnpike (Route 287) will provide access to the Town Square. The project extends from the northern most corner of the Patriot Homes Development near Manor Drive north to Tilghman Drive. The section within the Town Square between Hammond Drive and West Broad Way will be developed by other entities.
VDOT is administering the project on behalf of the Town of Lovettsville, and it includes the asphalt shared-use path, curb and gutter within VDOT right of way, pavement markings and associated drainage improvements. The project will require grading and drainage easements and may be constructed in phases based on the availability of right of way, easements and/or funding.
This project is being financed with transportation enhancement funds.
