About the Study
This study is assessing potential safety enhancements for drivers and pedestrians along two miles of Rollins Ford Road between Vint Hill Road (Route 215) and Linton Hall Road (Route 619).
Currently, this segment of Rollins Ford Road has six unsignalized pedestrian crossings. The corridor has seen an increase in crashes since the segment was completed in 2014.
The concepts being studied include:
- Additional pedestrian signage at existing crosswalks
- Partial lane reduction
- Intersection roundabouts
- Restricted crossing u-turns
