Find out about the project to increase safety and operations along the US 501 Corridor in Campbell County through the use of shoulder widening improvements. The project will begin 0.024 miles north of Route 655 and end 0.450 miles south of Route 655, a distance of 0.4740 miles.

Review the project plans and the environmental review documentation in the form of a Programmatic Categorical Exclusion at VDOT’s Lynchburg District office located at 4219 Campbell Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24501, 434-947-6559 or TDD/TTY 711. Please call ahead to ensure availability of personnel to answer your questions.

If your concerns cannot be satisfied, VDOT is willing to hold a public hearing. You may request that a public hearing be held by sending a written request to Mrs. Raina Rosado, P.E., Project Manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 4219 Campbell Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24501 on or prior to March 5, 2018. If a request for a public hearing is received, notice of date, time and place of the hearing will be posted.
