About the Study

This STARS (Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions) study is assessing operational and safety conditions near the I-264/ Brambleton Avenue interchange to include the intersections of Park Avenue at Brambleton Avenue and Kimball Terrace at Brambleton Avenue.

This study is intended to identify safety and operational improvements in the study area to address existing and forecasted deficiencies.

The I-264/Brambleton Avenue Interchange area currently has congestion during peak periods and has displayed crash issues.

Specifically, the main concern in the study area is congestion on the I-264 westbound off-ramp to Brambleton Avenue northbound in the morning peak hour that causes queues to spill on to I-264.

Thank you to all who participated in the Brambleton Avenue/I-264 interchange survey in March 2020 and at the Citizen Information Meeting on March 3, 2020 regarding potential improvements to this area. The survey closed March 31, 2020.

There will be a second and final survey available for final comments in spring 2021 and will be announced soon.
