What's Being Done
This project is located in James City County at the intersection of Route 615 (Ironbound Road) and Route 321(Monticello Avenue) near the City of Williamsburg. The purpose of this project is to upgrade the intersection of Monticello Avenue and Ironbound Road. This intersection improvement includes the grading, drainage and asphalt paving.
Features
The oversized traffic island will be provided with added landscaping and a new traffic signal. These two routes service residents, commuter traffic as well as commercial, historical and recreational areas (i.e., Colonial Williamsburg and William and Mary College).
Benefits
The traffic signal will greatly enhance the safety and appeal of this approach to Colonial Williamsburg.
Impact on Traffic
The traveling public will be inconvenienced with some construction maintenance.Contacts
