Project Overview

The project will realign, widen and improve drainage facilities on a segment of Route 625 (Salem Church Road), east of Route 650.

The project limits are 0.049 miles east of Route 650, to 0.305 miles east of Route 650. 

As proposed, Salem Church Road will be widened to 20 feet across with a 2-foot paved shoulder on each side. Drainage structures in the project vicinity would also be improved. 

The project will create a new alignment with curves designed to a speed of 35 mph.

Public Hearing and Documents

A design public hearing on the project was held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the L.E. Smoot Memorial Library at 9533 Kings Highway, King George, VA 22485.
