Project Details
Rehabilitation has begun to repair the bridge on Route 610 (Garrisonville Road) in Stafford County at Aquia Creek, located west of the intersection with Joshua Road.
Daytime, temporary single-lane closures will be required initially as workers replace guardrail along the bridge, and reconstruct the shoulders. Motorists should be alert for flagging crews at the bridge directing traffic.
In May, temporary traffic signals will be installed on both ends of the bridge. The signals will remain until the project is completed in August 2012.
One lane of the bridge will be closed during this construction phase. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be required to alternate crossing the bridge in a single travel lane.
This project will replace the bridge joints, and repair the surface of the bridge substructure and superstructure.
The project completion date is Aug. 30, 2012.
