What's Being Done

The project will widen Deacon Road beginning at the newly completed Route 218 White Oak Road Project. At its completion, Deacon Road will be a four-lane roadway with bike lanes in both directions. There will be turn lanes added for various intersections and a signal at the intersection of Deacon Road and Leeland Road. The curves will be softened and the hills and dips adjusted.

The work will take place throughout the project limits from beginning to end.

Impact on Traffic

The construction hours are 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The public should be alert to lane closure signs and flagmen directing one-way traffic.
