About the Project

Construction will begin May 9, 2016, to install new sidewalk along Route 200 (Irvington Road) in the Town of Irvington.

A new sidewalk will be installed along the east side of Irvington Road beginning at the intersection with Route 634 (King Carter Drive), and will continue for approximately 400 feet to the south.

Most construction will occur outside of the roadway. Intermittent lane closures will be needed for trucks to deliver materials, construct curb modifications, and for crews to paint crosswalks and final lane markings.

Motorists are asked to stay alert for construction equipment and work crews. Construction will conclude by June 24, 2016.

Work will be underway Mondays through Fridays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

A $167,850 contract for construction was awarded to M & F Concrete Inc.
