Project Details

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will be replacing cross pipes underneath state-maintained roads in the Vista Woods and Garrisonville Estates area over the next two years, beginning Monday, March 26, 2018.

Drivers can expect temporary, single lane closures or total road closures for brief periods ranging from several days to several weeks at each pipe location.

Most work will occur during daytime hours on weekdays.

Periodic work zones will be needed at multiple pipe locations.

All subdivision entrances and driveway access will be maintained during this work.

Residents will be notified in advance of specific work locations, lane closures or detour routes by message boards placed at the three subdivision main entrances.

VDOT must replace these pipes before any paving work can be completed in these subdivisions.

Crews will make every effort to limit disruptions and keep residents informed of upcoming closures.

The pipe replacement project is expected to be complete by spring 2020.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call VDOT’s Fredericksburg Residency at 540-899-4502.
