What's Being Done
The City of Charlottesville has completed the design of a multi-modal roadway project to replace the existing at-grade intersection of the U.S. 250 Bypass and McIntire Road. The diamond-shaped, grade-separated interchange will include a connection to the new McIntire Road Extended roadway currently under construction. It will include shared-use paths, sidewalks and bike lanes.
The project has gone to advertisement and has the following milestones:
Invitation to Bid: November 11, 2012
Pre-Bid Meeting: December 4, 2012
Bids Received: January 8, 2013
Work to Commence: March 4, 2013
Fixed Final Completion Date: July 2, 2015
