What's being done?
The existing 25-foot two-lane road will be widened to provide for three 12-foot lanes. The intersection will be fully signalized.
Benefits:
Dedicated left turn lanes off of Route 229 in both directions and full signalization will greatly improve traffic flow and make that busy intersection safer.
Features:
Adds wider pavement with curb and gutter. Creates a center left turn lane.
Impact on Traffic:
Traffic will be reduced to one lane as needed through the project and will be controlled by flaggers.
