TWO CRASHES CLOSE ALL NORTHBOUND AND SOUTHBOUND LANES ON INTERSTATE 81 NORTH OF VERONA IN AUGUSTA COUNTY
STAUNTON – (11:15 p.m.) Two separate tractor-trailer crashes have closed all lanes of Interstate 81 north of the Verona area of Augusta County.
On I-81 northbound at mile marker 227.9 all northbound lanes are closed due to a tractor trailer crash. Traffic is being detoured off of I-81 at exit 227.
On I-81 southbound at mile marker 230 all southbound lanes are closed due to a tractor trailer crash. Traffic is getting by on the right shoulder
Both crash locations are between exit 227 at Route 612 in the Verona area and exit 235 at Route 256 near Weyers Cave.
Wreckers are on scene at both crash locations. There is no estimate for reopening lanes
