RAMP FROM EASTBOUND I-64 TO NORTHBOUND I-81 IN ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY CLOSED OVERNIGHT JANUARY 2-3

STAUNTON – The ramp from eastbound Interstate 64 to northbound I-81 in Rockbridge County near Lexington is scheduled to close from 10 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, until 5 a.m. Thursday, January 3. During this same time period, the northbound I-81 left lane will be closed from mile marker 191 to 192. These overnight traffic restrictions are for guardrail repairs. All work is weather permitting.

Eastbound I-64 drivers needing to access northbound I-81 will detour at exit 56 onto southbound I-81 and travel about three miles south to exit 188A. Motorists then briefly follow Route 60 east to the on-ramp for northbound I-81. Signs and variable message boards will guide drivers on this detour route.
