ONE LANE OPEN ON I-81 SOUTHBOUND NEAR AUGUSTA-ROCKINGHAM COUNTY LINE
STAUNTON – (2:45 p.m.) The left lane of southbound Interstate 81 has reopened at mile marker 237 near the Augusta-Rockingham county line, where a multi-vehicle crash took place earlier this afternoon. Traffic is currently backed up nearly 10 miles into the Harrisonburg area.
The I-81 southbound detour at exit 240 (Mount Crawford/Bridgewater) will be lifted when congestion south of the exit has cleared.
