TRAFFIC PATTERN CHANGE NEXT WEEK ON ROUTE 11 NEAR SHENANDOAH-WARREN COUNTY LINE
STAUNTON – During the week of April 10, a significant traffic-pattern change is scheduled to take effect on Route 11 near the Shenandoah-Warren county line. The Virginia Department of Transportation is replacing the northbound and southbound bridges over Cedar Creek with a single two-lane structure where the northbound span is currently located.
Median crossover lanes will allow both directions of Route 11 to use the southbound bridge during construction. Northbound traffic will follow the crossovers on both ends of the work zone, between Route 629 (Oranda Road) in Shenandoah County and Route 840 (Water Plant Road) in Warren County. Vehicle widths will be restricted to 10’ 6”, which will allow standard-width tractor trailers.
This traffic pattern will remain in place until completion of the bridge-construction project, which is scheduled for November 2018. All work is weather permitting.
