ROUTE 39 IN ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY REMAINS CLOSED DUE TO FOREST FIRE AT GOSHEN PASS
STAUNTON – (3 p.m.) Route 39 (Maury River Road) in the Goshen Pass area of Rockbridge County remains closed due to a forest fire. This closure includes the entire Goshen Pass, from the eastern overlook area to Route 601.
Fire officials will assess the safety of reopening Route 39 on the morning of Friday, April 14. The roadway has been closed since about 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
