STAUNTON – Westbound Route 631 (Old Buena Vista Road) in Rockbridge County is scheduled to be closed during the morning of Thursday, October 26, for milling and paving. This closure will be in place from 9 a.m. to 12 noon between the intersection of Route 11 (Lee-Jackson Highway) and Route 763 (Lincoln Road) near the city of Lexington. Eastbound Route 631 will remain open throughout the paving operation.

Signs will direct westbound Route 631 drivers to detour north on Route 763 for about 1.5 miles, then south on Route 11 to return to Route 631.

Motorists are also advised to be alert for possible congestion near the intersection of Route 631 and Route 11. All work is weather permitting.
