ROUTE 705 IN ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY CLOSED MAY 3 – 18 FOR BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
STAUNTON – Part of Route 705 (Mountain View Road) in Rockbridge County will be closed for about two weeks beginning Tuesday, May 3, while Virginia Department of Transportation crews replace a bridge deck. The work zone will be located east of Lexington at the Marl Creek crossing, between Route 703 (Forest Grove Road) and Route 706 (Borden Grant Road).
Route 705 is scheduled to close at 9 a.m. on May 3 and reopen on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 18. All work is weather permitting. Signs will direct drivers on a detour route using Route 703 and Route 706.
The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
