ROUTE 641 IN ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY CLOSED APRIL 11 - 29 FOR BRIDGE REPLACEMENT

STAUNTON – The Virginia Department of Transportation will close a portion of Route 641 (Jacktown Road) in Rockbridge County from April 11 to April 29 while bridge crews replace the bridge over Whistle Creek. The work zone is between Route 60 (West Midland Trail) and Route 673 (Wee Darnock Way).  

Beginning at 8 a.m. on April 11, drivers will follow the posted detour using Route 672 (Turnpike Drive). Work is scheduled to be complete about 4 p.m. on April 29.  All work is weather permitting. 

The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.

For other assistance call the VDOT Customer Service Center, available 24 hours-a-day, seven days a week.
