PART OF ROUTE 761 CLOSED JUNE 9 FOR PIPE REPLACEMENT IN CLARKE COUNTY

STAUNTON – A portion of Clarke County Route 761 (Old Charlestown Road) from Route 659 (Longmarsh Road) to 0.6 miles east of Route 659 is scheduled to close for a pipe replacement on Thursday, June 9, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

The following detours will be in place: 

  • Eastbound traffic will travel south on Route 659, then east on Route 656, then north on Route 632 (Crums Church Road) and then back to Route 761 and end of detour. 
     
  • Westbound traffic will travel south on Route 632, then west on Route 656, then north on Route 659 and then back to Route 761 and end of detour.

All work is weather permitting.
