CRASH CAUSING DELAYS ON I-81 NORTHBOUND LANES IN SOUTHERN AUGUSTA COUNTY

STAUNTON – (9:10 p.m.) A crash on Interstate 81 at mile marker 207.6 has closed the left northbound lane.  This location is between exit 205 at Route 606 at Raphine in Rockbridge County and exit 213 at Route 11 in Greenville in Augusta County.

The Virginia Department of Transportation Staunton Traffic Operations Center say the left lane will remain closed as work at the scene continues. At the onset of the crash both northbound lanes were closed causing a two-mile back up.
