BRIDGE REPAIRS ON I-81 NORTHBOUND IN AUGUSTA COUNTY EXPECTED TO FINISH EARLY SATURDAY
STAUNTON – (4:40 p.m.) The right lane of Interstate 81 northbound remains closed as contractors make emergency bridge-deck repairs at mile marker 210 in Augusta County. The Virginia Department of Transportation estimates the repairs finishing and the right lane reopening early Saturday morning (April 30, 2016). All work is weather permitting.
Significant traffic delays on northbound I-81 are possible as a result of the lane closure. Motorists may consider using Route 11 as an alternate route by taking exit 195 (Lexington), following Route 11 north and rejoining the interstate just north of Greenville.
