ROUTE 704 IN ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY CLOSED AUGUST 13 – 14 FOR PIPE REPLACEMENT
STAUNTON – A portion of Route 704 (Middle Road) in Rockbridge County is scheduled to close August 13-14, 2015, while Virginia Department of Transportation crews replace a pipe under the roadway. The work zone is at the intersection of Route 704 and Route 631 (Old Buena Vista Road).
Signs will direct motorists using Route 704 onto the following detours:
- Drivers approaching from the north will detour east onto Route 631 (Old Buena Vista Road), which turns into Longhollow Road and continues south back to Route 704.
- Drivers approaching from the south can use Route 704 up to the intersection of Route 831 (Landfill Road).
All work is weather permitting.
