ROAD CLOSURES SCHEDULED IN ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY
STAUNTON – The Virginia Department of Transportation will close portions of two roads during the week of November 16 – 20 in Rockbridge County.
Route 251 (Collierstown Road) will be closed Monday, November 16 to Friday, November 20 for a slope work. This closure is from Route 677 (Kygers Hill Road) to Route 612 (Blue Grass Trail). Traffic can use Route 677 and Route 612 as a detour.
On Wednesday, November 18, Route 684 (Sallings Mountain Road) will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for a pipe replacement. This closure is 1.89 mile east of Route 608 (Forge Road) to 0.57 mile to Route 1104 (Shawnee Street). Traffic can use the following detour: Route 684 to Route 679 (Lone Jack Road) to Route 1105 (Catawba Street) to Route 1101 (6th Street) to Route 1106 (Powhatan Street) back to Route 684. A rain date is set for November 19.
