REPAIRS TO ROUTE 867 BRIDGE IN ROCKINGHAM COUNTY TO BE COMPLETE JUNE 24
STAUNTON – Repairs to the bridge on Route 867 (North River Road) near Mount Crawford in Rockingham County are expected to be complete on Wednesday, June 24. A portion of Route 867 has been closed since June 18, when the bridge over Pleasant Run and its southern approach were damaged in a tractor trailer crash.
The Virginia Department of Transportation will replace a cross-beam in the bridge, install new guardrail and complete repaving before the road can open to traffic. All work is weather permitting.
Until Route 867 reopens, a detour will direct drivers to follow Route 11 north and Route 257 east back onto Route 867.
