I-81 NORTHBOUND LANE CLOSURES MAY SLOW TRAFFIC IN FREDERICK COUNTY NEXT WEEK

STAUNTON – Motorists should be alert for overnight left lane closures next week on northbound Interstate 81 near the West Virginia state line. These closures are scheduled for the nights of July 20-22 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. while crews to clean up a fuel spill in the median along the West Virginia portion of I-81.

 

During the overnight lane closures, congestion is possible in Frederick County north of the city of Winchester. All work is weather permitting.

 

The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
