STAUNTON – (10:50 p.m.) A multivehicle crash on Route 7 in Clarke County has closed both eastbound lanes.  All westbound lanes have reopened.

This location is just west of Berryville in the area of Route 632 (Triple J Road). Emergency responders estimate the closure will remain in place for some time with no reopening estimate made yet.

Virginia Department of Transportation crews are assisting with traffic control.  The eastbound traffic detour is takes Route 7 traffic onto Route 632 south to Route 657 east to Route 340 north and back onto Route 7 east.

Motorists should expect significant delays in this area.
