I-66 WESTBOUND REOPENS IN WARREN COUNTY
STAUNTON – (3:30 p.m.) The Virginia Department of Transportation has reopened both lanes of westbound Interstate 66 in Warren County. The closure was due to an early morning crash involving a gasoline tanker near mile marker 11.
Starting at 3:15 this afternoon, Virginia State Police led traffic on a “slow roll” at 3:15 p.m. from exit 23 where vehicles had been detoured. Drivers should continue to expect delays until traffic returns to normal.
The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
