ALL TRAVEL LANES REOPENED AT CRASH SITE ON I-81 NORTHBOUND IN SOUTHERN AUGUSTA COUNTY

STAUNTON – (1 p.m.) All travel lanes reopened around noon today on Interstate 81 northbound at mile marker 210 in Augusta County.  The lanes were closed earlier today due to a multi-vehicle accident. 

Backups as traffic clears the area are still occurring, but these are down to approximately one mile.  Earlier this morning backups extended six miles.

This location is between exit 205 at Route 606 in the Raphine area of Rockbridge County and exit 213 at Route 11 in the Greenville area of Augusta County.

The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
