SHENANDOAH COUNTY – ROUTE 637 TO CLOSE FRIDAY FOR RAILROAD CROSSING WORK
STAUNTON – Route 637 (Powhatan Road) in the Strasburg area of Shenandoah County will close for four days beginning Friday, June 28, 2013 at 8 a.m. The work zone is from 0.5 miles south of Route 55 to 0.86 miles south of Route 55.
This closure will allow Rail Mechanical Services of Columbia, Pa., to replace a rail crossing. Estimated completion date is Monday, July 1, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists can use the following detours: Southbound traffic will travel east on Route 55, south on Route 11, west on West King Street, north on Franklin Street and west on Junction Road to the end of the detour.
Northbound traffic will travel east on Junction Road, south on Franklin Street, east on West King Street, North on Route 11 and west on Route 55 to the end of the detour.
