CRASH ON I-81 NORTHBOUND IN FREDERICK COUNTY IS CAUSING DELAYS

STAUNTON –  (5:15 p.m.) A tractor-trailer crash in Frederick County on Interstate 81 northbound at mile marker 302 is causing delays. Both northbound lanes are blocked.  This location is between exit 300 at the Interstate 66 interchange and exit 302 at Route 627 in Middletown.

The Virginia Department of Transportation Operation Center staff say reports from the site indicate it may be two hours before lanes are reopened to traffic.  

Motorists should expect significant delays in this area.

The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
