ALL SOUTHBOUND LANES HAVE REOPENED ON I-81 AT MILE MARKER 315 IN WINCHESTER AREA
STAUNTON – (10:30 a.m.) All southbound lanes on Interstate 81 at mile marker 315 have reopened.
Earlier this morning a series of multi-vehicle crashes closed the southbound lanes of I-81 at mile marker 315 in the Winchester area of Frederick County. On-scene reports indicate approximately 20 vehicles were involved.
Snow squalls were reported in the area at the time these incidents occurred around 8:30 a.m.
The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
