A PORTION OF ROUTE 696 CLOSED OCT. 7 TO OCT. 24, 2013
Rockbridge County Bridge Replacement Over Hayslette Creek

STAUNTON – The portion of Route 696 (Ford Hill Road) over Hayslette Creek in Rockbridge County will be closed for bridge replacement October 7 to October 24. The work zone is between the intersection of Route 654 (Hayslette Road) and 0.3 mile west to Route 655 (Blacks Creek Road).

Traffic can use Route 654 to Route 251 or Route 655 to Route 251 as detours.  All work is weather permitting.

The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.

For other assistance call the VDOT Customer Service Center, available 24 hours-a-day, seven days a week. Citizens can dial 1-800-FOR- ROAD (1-800-367-7623) from anywhere in the state to report road hazards, ask transportation questions, or get information related to Virginia’s roads.
