BRIDGE WORK CLOSES ROUTE 600 IN SHENANDOAH COUNTY
STAUNTON – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has closed Route 600 (Saumsville Road) at the Interstate 81 Overpass in the Maurertown area of Shenandoah County for bridge repairs.
Motorists can use the following detour: Eastbound traffic will use Route 642 (Swartz Road) north to Route 625 (Harman Road) west to Route 11 (Old Valley Pike) south. Westbound traffic will use Route 11 north to Route 625 east to Route 642 south.
Estimated completion for the bridge work is Friday, May 4.
The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
