TRAFFIC WILL BE DETOURED OFF OF I-81 NORTHBOUND AT CRASH SITE IN AUGUSTA COUNTY
STAUNTON – (5:45 p.m.) A multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 81 located south of Staunton in Augusta County has closed all northbound lanes. The accident location is at mile marker 207, which is between exit 205 at Route 606 in the Raphine area of Rockbridge County and exit 213 at Route 11 in the Greenville area of Augusta County.
Motorists should detour off of I-81 at exit 205 and rejoin the interstate at exit 213.
There is another multi-vehicle accident closing the left northbound land and left shoulder at mile marker 205.
Motorists should expect significant delays in this area. Officials expect the interstate lanes to be reopened around 7 p.m.
