LANE CLOSURE SCHEDULED TONIGHT AT I-81 TRUCK CLIMBING LANE PROJECT IN ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY
STAUNTON – There will be a single lane closure on July 20 on the Interstate 81 southbound lanes between mile markers 198.8 and 198.6, which is in the vicinity of the Route 712 bridge. This work is in conjunction with the I-81 truck climbing lane project in Rockbridge County.
Crews will be installing traffic barriers in this location.
Motorists should also be aware of blasting operations that will take place on July 22 around 1 p.m. in the vicinity of the Route 712 bridge. Signs are posted in this area. Both northbound and southbound lanes will have a rolling mobile lane closure.
The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
