STAUNTON – The Virginia Department of Transportation will begin reconstruction on flashing signals the week of Mar. 9. The signal reconstruction is located at Route 11 (Main Street) and Route 653 (Creek Road)/1501 (Hillcrest Road) in Toms Brook in Shenandoah County.

Motorists should be alert for this work zone and potential traffic delays. Intermittent lane closures will occur Monday to Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Activation of the new flashing signals is anticipated for late March.

Motorists are urged to drive with caution in the area of the signal construction.
