I-81-I66 RAMP PAVING WORK RESCHEDULED IN WARREN COUNTY
Forecasted Inclement Weather Causes Date Change
Paving work on Interstate 66 in Warren County will close the Interstate 81 exit 300 eastbound ramp onto Interstate 66. This closure will begin the night of Monday, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. and continue through the morning of Tuesday, Sept 30 until 5 a.m. I-81 northbound motorists who want to use I-66 eastbound should proceed to I-81 exit 302 at Route 627 near Middletown. Motorists should re-enter I-81 southbound at this interchange and proceed to I-81 exit 300 and access I-66 eastbound at this location.
The paving work on I-66 began on Sept. 15 and extends from the I-81 interchange to mile marker 7.
Following the conclusion of the paving work, rumble strip installation, shoulder work and guardrail work will take place in the coming weeks.
Motorists should use extreme caution in the work zone and expect some possible delays. All work is weather permitting.
