CONGESTION AND WEATHER CAUSE DELAYS IN SHENANDOAH VALLEY
There is congestion on all of I-66 in Warren County beginning at mile marker 14.7 (Linden) to the I-81 interchange
Congestion exists from I-81, southbound in Frederick County at mile marker 324.1 (Flying J Truck Stop) to Augusta County at mile marker 236.9 (Weyers Cave/Blue Ridge Community College).
Congestion also exists on I-81, northbound in Rockbridge County at mile marker 185. This location is between Natural Bridge and Lexington. There is a five-mile backup reported by the Virginia Department of Transportation Traffic Operations Center (TOC).
Motorists should expect delays along the I-81 corridor today due to heavy holiday traffic volumes and weather.
