VDOT TO HOLD “PARDON OUR DUST” PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING ON 10th STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN ROANOKE
VDOT and contractor prepare to begin construction
SALEM —The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a “Pardon Our Dust” public information meeting as construction on the project is scheduled to begin.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 24 at Villages at Lincoln Community Center located at 1801 Dunbar Street, NW, in Roanoke from 5 to 7 p.m. A brief presentation will be given at 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. VDOT representatives and representatives from the project contractor, E.C. Pace Company, Inc., will be present to answer questions about the project, potential traffic impacts and the schedule of construction in an open house format throughout the evening.
The operational improvements on 10th Street will include wider travel lanes, bicycle lanes, curb and gutter, sidewalks, turn lanes, new signals, and a new arch structure to carry 10th Street over Lick Run and the Lick Run Greenway.
