TRAFFIC ALERT: TWO BRIDGE REPLACEMENTS SCHEDULED IN BOTETOURT COUNTY
SALEM – Work on two bridges in Botetourt County will begin over the next few weeks.
On Monday, March 7, Route 608 (Indian Rock Road) will be reduced to one lane while the Box Culvert over Renick Run is replaced. The box culvert is located about a mile from Route F055 (Lee Highway) north of Arcadia in Botetourt County. Traffic will be controlled with a stop sign on each side of the box culvert. Work is expected to be complete in early May 2016.
On Monday, March 14, Route 668 (Mount Pleasant Church Road) will be closed while the bridge over a branch of Borden Creek is replaced. The bridge is located near the intersection with Route 666 (White Church Road). A detour will be in place with signs directing traffic to alternate routes. The roadway is expected to reopen on Friday, March 18.
Drivers are encouraged to plan travel accordingly and use caution in the work zones.
