TRAFFIC ALERT: NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN SCHEDULED AT EXIT 150 OFF INTERSTATE 81 IN BOTETOURT COUNTY NEXT WEEK
SALEM – As part of the ongoing construction project at the Interstate 81 exit 150 interchange in Botetourt County, a new traffic pattern is scheduled to be implemented next week, weather permitting. The new traffic pattern involves reconfiguring lanes on northbound and southbound Route 11.
On Monday, May 9, during nighttime hours from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., various lane closures will be in place on northbound and southbound Route 11 as needed to facilitate pavement marking operations that will precede the change in the traffic pattern.
On the morning of Tuesday, May 10, a new traffic pattern will be put in place through late summer. This traffic pattern change is needed to allow for drainage work and the installation of curb and gutter.
Signs and message boards will direct traffic. Motorists are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly and to use caution as they travel through the work zone.
